What kind of events do you handle?
Our production engine is dual-purpose. It strips down to deliver clean, echo-free vocal projection for corporate speaking dates, gallery openings, and intimate ceremonies. For receptions, private celebrations, and boutique micro-festivals, it scales out into a heavy, high-fidelity music layout. We specialize in crowds ranging from 20 to 120 people.
What is your performance style?
We believe the music and the crowd should take center stage. There are no shouting hype-men, no cheesy party games, no jarring airhorns, and no intrusive DJ branding drops. We mix seamlessly in the background, keeping the audio intentional and the atmosphere tightly controlled so you can focus entirely on your guests.
Do you need a lot of space to set up?
No. Because our hardware configuration is streamlined and highly portable, we maintain an incredibly tight physical footprint. Indoors, we fit neatly into small bar corners, galleries, or tight venue spaces without crowding your guests. If your event moves outdoors or lacks overhead cover, we deploy a compact 10x10 structural pop-up shelter to serve as our production nerve center.
How do you set up your lights? Do you use strobes or lasers?
Our entire lighting rig runs autonomously through SoundSwitch hardware, meaning the deep color washes and spotlights react to the music with microsecond accuracy. Harsh, random strobe patterns and cheap lasers are strictly banned from our setup. We rely entirely on sophisticated, rhythmic color transitions and sweeping moving beams to create a premium, visually comfortable environment.
What are your power requirements? Do I need to provide anything special?
Under normal conditions, our entire sound and lighting grid plugs directly into standard venue wall outlets. However, our setup includes an Anker S2000 portable power station. If your space has unstable, ungrounded wiring, or if you want to push the party out onto a lawn or patio far from an outlet, we can run 100% off our own high-capacity battery bank. This eliminates annoying electrical hums and ensures the music doesn't stop even if the venue blows a circuit breaker.
How do you handle your sound setup? Will it blow out our windows?
Our sound reinforcement system features dual Alto clarity tops and a single, heavy-duty Alto subwoofer. We position the subwoofer flat on the floor dead-center between our main speakers. This single source of low-frequency origin eliminates muddy sound waves and dead zones. The result is a tight, physical wave of bass you can feel, paired with crisp high-mid clarity that allows your crowd to dance and socialize for hours without ear strain or fatigue.
What genres of music do you play?
Our library is deep and highly adaptable. Because we strictly ban cheesy radio edits and overplayed gimmicks, we focus on building a cohesive vibe tailored to your crowd. We seamlessly bridge everything from dark electronic, techno, goth, and industrial sets to sleek underground house, alternative classics, indie, and ambient textures. We work closely with you beforehand to establish exactly what fits your event's specific atmosphere.
Do you take requests on the fly?
Yes, but with an editorial filter. If a guest requests a track that perfectly matches the energy and direction of the room, we will mix it in seamlessly. However, if a request completely clashes with the vibe you've hired us to build, we politely decline. Our priority is maintaining a continuous, high-quality sonic environment for the entire room.
How long does it take you to set up and tear down?
Because our equipment configuration is intentionally streamlined, portable, and free of unnecessary clutter, our load-in is incredibly efficient. We typically require 60 to 90 minutes to fully assemble, calibrate the digital mixer, and stage the lighting grid. Teardown and load-out take roughly 45 to 60 minutes.
Can we use your microphones for announcements or speeches?
Absolutely. Our setup routes through a digital mixing deck equipped with automated compression and safety limiters. Whether you are running a corporate presentation, making a toast, or delivering an announcement, we provide crystal-clear, echo-free vocal projection with zero harsh volume spikes or feedback loops.
Do you provide your own safety cables and cord covers?
Yes. Safety is a non-negotiable part of our production setup. All overhead lighting fixtures are doubly secured to our framework using dedicated steel safety cables. On the ground, all power and audio lines are tightly routed, bundled, and covered to eliminate trip hazards and ensure a clean, professional aesthetic for your venue.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry full commercial general liability insurance. We understand that professional venues require proof of coverage before load-in, and we can easily provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) directly to your venue coordinator upon request.
Do you require a deposit to secure the date?
Yes. To officially lock in your event on our calendar, we require a standard retainer fee along with a signed service agreement. This guarantees our availability and ensures that all coordination, music curation, and hardware preparation are fully dedicated to your date.
What happens if there is an equipment failure?
We build redundancy directly into our configuration. Our digital mixing architecture utilizes an automated backup playback engine, and our primary controllers feature dedicated hardware overrides. If a cable, mixer channel, or digital line experiences a sudden fault, we can route the audio instantly through an independent channel with zero dead air.
Can you interface with a venue’s existing house sound system?
Yes. If your venue features an installed, high-end commercial sound system that fits the room’s layout, we can route our digital mixing deck directly into their house infrastructure. We calibrate our output signals to match their system’s limits, ensuring pristine audio quality while maintaining complete, centralized control over the performance mix.
Do you charge extra for travel or holiday dates?
Our standard rates apply to any location within our primary local operating radius. For long-distance travel, remote off-grid locations requiring extended transport, or major holiday bookings, a transparent travel or holiday premium is calculated into your initial quote so there are never any unexpected line items on your final invoice.
What is your cancellation or postponement policy?
We understand that event timelines can change. Our agreement includes a clear, fair postponement clause. If you need to reschedule your event due to unforeseen circumstances, your retainer can be transferred to an open, mutually agreed-upon future date within a specified timeframe, protecting your investment.
